The Concept of Restorative Justice as a Means of Legal Protection for Victims of Crime in Indonesia

This research aims to determine how the concept of legal regulation regarding Restorative Justice is used as protection for victims criminal acts in Indonesia. The analysis this study qualitative with a normative juridical approach. concludes that restorative justice paradigm offers another way dealing crime. According paradigm, process resolving crimes involves perpetrators, victims, and community. Criminal Code regulates more about protecting rights suspects, defendants, convicts part human rights. Progressively various laws regulations have become basis settlement cases by implementing restoration crime, social recovery, reducing burden on state. also still oriented towards retributive justice, which punitive retaliation perpetrators acts. In sanctions imposed are not aimed at retaliating against crime but can arouse perpetrator's responsibility suffering victim or aim restore victim.
